What a fantastic consumer and fishing experience, not once but twice.
Purchased the Z-Series pant and then purchased the Guide Master Socks. Fast shipping, and they actually revised my order based on my notes in the order (sent the XL over the L based on my wading boot and foot size)…perfect adjustment by them and fits like a glove.
Now, for performance: put them to heavy use on 5-day Idaho panhandle trip and numerous 1-day trips…they performed flawlessly. These keep you warm in the water, but drain quick and evaporative cooling keeps you cool off the water. On days in the 90’s but chilly flows, I was perfectly comfortable all day. And by day 2, my fishing buddies (wader guys) were sold on the system. SO MUCH better than gortex !
Given the cost over 10 years of heavy fishing, you could cycle thru 4-5 sets of BCSz for the cost of one set of high-end waders. And they’re just as likely to be solid for 3-seasons (save your multi-hundred $ waders for winter).

Decided to give the backcountry skinz a shot, and aside from those times where conditions dictate traditional waders, I will never go back. Lightweight hiking pants over backcountry skinz is my new go to. Makes moving in and out of streams, a breeze. I fish a lot in streams that run through agricultural pastures, in the midwest, which means lots of barbed wire, and the skinz don't end up full of holes like my traditional waders have. Nice job BCS!
Backcountry Skinz amp up the wet wading experience. Keeps the legs warm in current fall cooler weather and water temps. I’m going exclusively wet wading with these and love it!

I have been using Merino wool waterproof socks and the Z series neoprene leggings for two months now, and I love them. The leggings let me be more mobile in the water and are comfortable to wear when walking into a stream. I will at times walk a mile or so to fish a stream. I like the fact that if I do slip and go in I don’t fill up with water I just stand up and start fishing again. I can’t wait to try them in the fall and spring. I generally stream fish a hundred plus days a yr. And I am 72 yrs old.
