What a fantastic consumer and fishing experience, not once but twice.
Purchased the Z-Series pant and then purchased the Guide Master Socks. Fast shipping, and they actually revised my order based on my notes in the order (sent the XL over the L based on my wading boot and foot size)…perfect adjustment by them and fits like a glove.
Now, for performance: put them to heavy use on 5-day Idaho panhandle trip and numerous 1-day trips…they performed flawlessly. These keep you warm in the water, but drain quick and evaporative cooling keeps you cool off the water. On days in the 90’s but chilly flows, I was perfectly comfortable all day. And by day 2, my fishing buddies (wader guys) were sold on the system. SO MUCH better than gortex !
Given the cost over 10 years of heavy fishing, you could cycle thru 4-5 sets of BCSz for the cost of one set of high-end waders. And they’re just as likely to be solid for 3-seasons (save your multi-hundred $ waders for winter).

Decided to give the backcountry skinz a shot, and aside from those times where conditions dictate traditional waders, I will never go back. Lightweight hiking pants over backcountry skinz is my new go to. Makes moving in and out of streams, a breeze. I fish a lot in streams that run through agricultural pastures, in the midwest, which means lots of barbed wire, and the skinz don't end up full of holes like my traditional waders have. Nice job BCS!
Backcountry Skinz amp up the wet wading experience. Keeps the legs warm in current fall cooler weather and water temps. I’m going exclusively wet wading with these and love it!

I have been using Merino wool waterproof socks and the Z series neoprene leggings for two months now, and I love them. The leggings let me be more mobile in the water and are comfortable to wear when walking into a stream. I will at times walk a mile or so to fish a stream. I like the fact that if I do slip and go in I don’t fill up with water I just stand up and start fishing again. I can’t wait to try them in the fall and spring. I generally stream fish a hundred plus days a yr. And I am 72 yrs old.
The Airblitz absolutely fill the gap for me when waders are too bulky and hot to wear or hike in, yet provide enough protection to my legs getting to the stream. Also when river side with wet pants and a cold breeze, they insulate just right to keep you out there. Great work guys.
They work exactly as advertised. Make sure you get the correct size because if you have to send it back, you won’t be seeing those pants for another 6 weeks. You also have to pay to ship them back to the company, which is expensive.
Fantastic warm water tights. Makes river wading a breeze. Tough enough to survive the inevitable jungle slips and falls without any signs of wear. Highly recommended.

Seriously, ditch your waders — you absolutely won't regret it! I just put these to the test on the Big Horn and they're a game-changer. If you've ever fished a cold tailwater where the daytime air temps can hit 100 in July, you know the challenge.
But with these? I was waist-deep, fishing for hours, and incredibly comfortable. Even on a full day in the drift boat, they breathed so well I never overheated. The real kicker was a 1.5-mile walk in the midday, 97-degree heat. Everyone else was sweltering in their chest waders, but I was totally comfortable. That's a huge advantage.
My only piece of advice - if you're mainly fishing from a boat in warmer air temps, the newer, lighter version would be absolutely perfect.
My husband and I both have a pair. We took them out on our fishing trip and they worked out better than expected. I’m very excited to wear them on our backpacking camping trip instead of having to carry a full set of waders.
After being impressed with my neoprene leggings, I purchased both green and blue camo legging for summer kayak fishing as a sun screen and they are also very high quality, durable, good looking, and very comfortable. Highly recommend. Very good service for all of my orders.

The leggings are amazing. I’ve only worn them once so far but on warm day, cold cold water they preformed well above my expectations. Breathable and comfortable while hiking (2miles to the spot) and warm enough I could wade in the river for hours.
Used them for 1st time with back country tights inside waders with neoprene feet. Was a warm Alberta spring day but water temp was 7 degrees Celsius and my feet were toasty and dry. Stayed out for 5 hours instead my usual 2. Out lasted my buddy with heated socks because his battery ran out. Just have to figure out how to wash the socks now.
Use Backcountry Skinz wading tights in New Zealand and SW Montana. They are the perfect tool for cool water wet wading involving long hikes, rough terrain or stealthy, athletic ninja approaches. I use them far more than my waders….and wear them under waders for winter fishing. Great product, must have.

I have used my SherpaShell only once so far but it sat in the cargo net of my float tube all day and kept everything inside bone dry. Space for lunch, flies, extra reels, jacket… I’m excited to put it to work on more rainy river hikes!
